An independent web developer, based in Charlotte.
I build and rebuild websites for small businesses — fixed price, agreed before I start, and you deal directly with the person writing the code. I'm in Charlotte; the work happens wherever the client is.
What I Do
- Redesign an existing site — from $1,000, 1–2 weeks. Details →
- Build a new custom site — from $2,500, 2–4 weeks. Details →
- Custom lead-generation automation — software that finds prospects instead of waiting for them. Details →
Half up front, half on delivery. No hourly billing, no retainer requirement, and no monthly fee to me for hosting a site you own.
Why Work With Someone Local
Honestly? For most of this work, location doesn't matter much — I work with clients across the US and the process is the same. What being local actually gets you is the option to sit down in person instead of only meeting on a call, and someone in your timezone who answers their own email.
What it doesn't get you is a different price. I charge Charlotte businesses the same as anyone else.
Independent Developer vs. a Charlotte Agency
Agencies are a real option and sometimes the right one — if you need a full creative department, ongoing campaign management, or a team large enough to absorb staff turnover, hire an agency. What you're paying for there includes account management, project coordination, and overhead.
With me, you're paying for the build. There's no account manager relaying messages, no markup on a subcontractor, and no handoff to a junior after the pitch. For a single small-business website, that's usually faster and cheaper.

Questions People Ask First
Are you actually based in Charlotte?
Yes — I live and work in Charlotte, North Carolina. I don't run satellite offices or claim locations I'm not in. Most work happens remotely regardless of where the client is, but if you're local we can meet in person.
Do you only work with Charlotte businesses?
No. I work with clients anywhere in the United States — recent projects include a Chicago fintech and a headwear brand. Charlotte is simply where I'm based, so local clients get the option of meeting face to face.
What does a website cost in Charlotte?
My pricing is the same regardless of city: redesigns of an existing page start at $1,000, new custom sites start at $2,500, both fixed-price and agreed before I start. Agency pricing in the Charlotte market generally runs higher, since you're also paying for account management and overhead.
Will I be handed off to a junior developer or an account manager?
No. You talk to me and I do the work. There's no account manager in between and no team to hand your project down to — which is the main practical difference between hiring an independent developer and hiring an agency.
